New Technology

Digital Radiography:

We use an advanced non-film computerized system, called digital radiography, which produces radiation levels up to 90 percent lower than those of already low dose conventional dental x-ray machinery. These digital images can be optimized, archived, printed and sent to your family dentist. For more information contact Schick Technologies, Inc.

Operating Microscopes:

In addition to digital radiography, we utilize special Zeiss operating microscopes. Magnification and fiber optic illumination are necessary to aid the doctor in seeing tiny details inside your tooth. Also, a tiny video camera on the operating microscope can record images of your tooth to further document the doctor’s findings. The state of the art technology used allows the doctor to provide an even higher level of care than was previously available.

APex Locators:

We employ the use of advanced digital electronic sensing equipment to determine the apical extension of each root that is being treated. This technology allows greater accuracy, and even further reduces the need for additional x-rays.

Ultrasonics:

Advanced ultrasonic instruments are used during microsurgery to minimize the post-operative healing, and to insure more accurate root preparations to aid in sealing the apical extent of the root canal.
